The fish market square
The fish market in the very centre of Trapani has been for ages lively picture of common Sicilian life.
Outside the town walls crossed Porta Felice, a natural open space facing the sea had already been used as a market place. The same door was called also Porta Bocceria - after the French word boucherie - since in the nearby there was a building where the livestock was butchered.

Nasi small villa is a historical building which the whole town loves. It shows an Art-Noveau style and stands on slight spit of land extending towards Ligny tower and Colombaia Castle just opposite Palumbo Rock. Nunzio Nasi, who lived between 1850 and 1935, had been the Postmaster General during Pelloux's rule and Minister for Education during Zanardelli's one. He chose this impressive rock called, "Lo Scoglio", as the perfect place where he should have his own abode, and bought it directly from the government.
