Built by the Knights of the Order of San Giacomo of Spain in XIII C., now it houses the Fardelliana Library. When the order was abolished, the church was entrusted to the Compagnia della Carita ' that in 1826 granted it to the Municipality to install the library. It has manneristic features and its front shows a Baroque taste. The church underwent changes in XVI c. and Giovanni Biagio Amico rearranged the entrance and the typical stair. On April 21st 1830 the Town Library of Capovalle was opened. It was the first library in Trapani, opened to the public. In 1826 the Compagnia dei Bianchi, noble brethren, was dissolved and gave the first floor of the building, which had been their centre, to the city of Trapani who had to preserve the building itself and making it a Library opened to the people thanks also to the involvement of Giovanbattista Fardella.
