In 1968 it underwent the awful earthquake on Belice valley and was left by its inhabitants. There nearby there is also an archaeological site: Castellazzo, where you can appreciate the most ancient history of the lands there by. The landscape is really impressive. Local economy finds its strength in agricolture and the town offers often rests and events celebrating local products such as Ricotta and cheese and others where bread and wine are the stars.
