The Civic Museum of Pre-History is guested by the Municipal library in Paceco and it's one of the most significative in Sicily since it gathers really interesting archaeological findings. They had been preserved for a long time in the Ligny tower in Trapani. Today the Museum plays a didactic role with its findings coming from excavations and diving research performed both in Sicily and in Africa.

The Civic Museum  of Pre-History is guested by the Municipal library in Paceco and it's one of the most significative in Sicily since it gathers really interesting archaeological findings. They had been preserved for a long time in the Ligny tower in Trapani. Today the Museum plays a didactic role with its findings coming from excavations and diving research performed both in Sicily and in Africa.
The collection shows chalk sculls representing the evolution of the first men in this area: Australopiteco; Homo Abilis; Homo Neanderthalensis; Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Besides there are two full remakes of Lucy and of the Neanderthal Man and several  tools like chopper, a Neanderthalensis spearhead, ancient tools and weapons made out of flint. The findings includes even prehistoric animal bones that had been found in the different caves that had guested this first life on the island. The Museum  is open the full week and it arranges some time the cave to be visited with skilled guides.
