There were also some lodging for the crew and a factory where the fish was worked. It is supposed the Tuna fishing ground started its activity in 1412 when king Ferdinando gave its permission. Few meters from the factory there are very old fish-pond called cetariae, from the IV c. b.C., used to produce the Garum -a fish sausage the Romans were fond of.
