Bukuto bay and its wonderful sea.

According to the legend, a ship approached this bay sailing its wonderful sea. It had escaped a shipwreck while carrying the precious picture of our Lady of Custonaci, now jealously guested inside its Sancutuary. In memory of this accident, during the feast, in August, celebrating our Lady, Bukuto bay recalls the past: a sailboat approaches the coast, and sailors land bringing the holy picture. The bay is brightened by fireworks and a number of faithful people who follow the picture. An evocative torched procession of people in prayer reaches the Sanctuary in Custonaci.
